Pachmarhi

Located in Madhya Pradesh state of India, also known for the Pachmarhi Cantonment. 
Population :  12495 (2001)
Area          : 1,015 metres (3,330 ft)
It is widely known as "Satpura ki Rani" (Queen of Satpura).Pachmarhi's elevation and the forests of the Satpuras, with their streams and waterfalls, are picturesque and home to much wildlife. Pachmarhi lies within the Pachmarhi Biosphere Preserve, created in 1999 to link two forest reserves into a larger wildlife conservation area at the highest point in Central India. Pachmarhi also has a lot of cave paintings in the forests, some of which have been dated to be as much as 10000 years old.For nature viewers exploring the small hill station of Panchmarhi brings a great joy. Many of its falls and pools like Bee Falls, Apsara Vibaii, Rajat Pratap and Sunder Pool are some of its popular sightseeing place. One of the most beautiful waterfalls of Pachmarhi, this charming water stream, which is also called as Jamuna Prapat.

Mahadev Caves
Caves of Panchgarhi :

Chahuragarh-Dhupgarh : 
 Both Chahuragarh, famous for its Shiv Temple, and Dhupgarh are two separate hills famous for giving a very panoramic sight of sunrise and sunset. Watching the sun rising and setting from these two hills presents to viewers a very picturesque.

Priyadarshini Point : 
Earlier known as Forsyth’s Point, Priyadarshini Point is one of the best viewing point of Panchmarhi.The valley with its pleasant weather is a beautiful weekend getaway and well worth a visit.

Rajat Pratap : 
Reaching to this beautiful fall demands one to ascend through rocks and boulders, which must be a joy for adventure lovers.Those seeking adventure will find it in this ten-minute walk over rocks and boulders from Apsara Vihar to the top of Rajat Pratap, the 'big fall'. A thrilling experience is looking straight down to the bottom of the fall which plunges down a 350-foot-high precipice


Lanjee Giri
Lanjee Giri : 
For adventure enthusiasts, Lanjee Giri calls them to douse their thirst of adventure. Enjoying rock-climbing in its lovely terrains is great fun for adventurers. But the best joy is here to discover its underground passage, there are some easy scalings to be done near the summit.

Apsara Vibaii : 
A lovely little bathing pool, and easily accessible from Jai Stambh, this 'fairy pool' is an idea. Picnic spot for families with children, as the pool is shallow. Deepening only towards the base of the fall which cascade gently into its waters.

Reaching there
By Air : Bhopal Domestic Airport (195 km) is the nearest aiport from Panchmarhi. The airport has regular flight for destinations like Delhi, Mumbai, Gwalior and Indore. From Bhopal, luxury buses and private cars are available to take one to Panchmarhi.
By Rail : Piparia Railway Station lying on the Howrah-Mumbai main rail line is the nearest major railhead connected to all parts of the country. From Piparia, one can either hire taxi or can catch bus for Panchmarhi.
By Road: Well connected via road, Panchmarhi has regular bus service from Bhopal, Piparia, Hoshangabad, Nagpur and Chhindwara.
